The set up to this gig is bigger than the set.
I got there about five hours earlier than everyone else, so I checked out the venue. I was told it was an outdoor stage, which I saw and wasn't really bothered by it. Different, but no big deal.
I had time to kill, so I took in a movie. when I got out it was raining hard. Ty spent a couple hours trying to get someone on the phone from the venue to find out if there was going to be a show or not. Turns out they also have an indoor stage. Cool.
The venue also was a problem with a leaky roof. they probably never noticed it before as the word was that it's been a long, long time since they had rain like this. It was coming down so hard that the rain gutter outside in teh smoking area was overflowing and making a nice little waterfall feature.
It was also leaking over the stage. We covered the amps in plastic and played anyway. It hadn't started until near the end of Calling Tokyo's set. I guess it was just waiting until it couldn't keep from coming down.
Set went fine. I think "Stand Up" will become a regular thing seeing as how people go nuts when we play it.

Well, there's a bit of a history there.
The band that we've all been members of at one time or another, 2 Much TV, seemed to have a curse whereby whatever club that 2MTV played at would close within a week if not that night. I'm hoping that's over, but I'm betting that the rain is just a manifestation of that old curse. LOL
