I'll go. The first band, Four on the Floor, was pretty good. They had a few originals mixed in with the covers. They did Whole Lotta Love and did the middle section which I've never heard any live act do. they gave it their own spin which was cool.
I saw Erik drinking/gargling salt water before BB started, so I got the impression that he was having the crud that's been going around here lately. The bands changed off and it was BB's turn.
They opened with Head Full of Hate, which is a great way to start. It's much ballsier live. THEY are much ballsier live than on the CD's, but even though he wasn't in his best condition, Erik gave it hell. It almost seemed like his voice had become grittier naturally.
The set was:
Head Full of Hate You For Me The Last Time Masochistic Love Song SFCR Get Mad Get Even Misery If Only The Ride Knock You Down Forget About It Don't Tell Me You Love Me Stand Up Balls Deep New Girl Now
The crowd was probably the biggest they've had. A lot of girl on girl dancing (and maybe more?) action down front, people headbanging, and when they played "Stand Up" the place went nuts. "Devil Jim" lived up to his name. He could play one note and it would be as evil as a dozen under his fingers. Could be the alcohol. LOL Rob's got a new drum set and it's thundering! It was shaking the table we were at.
The next show is in Fayetteville, Arkansas at Froggie's on thingyson Street. If you can make it, GO GO GO!!!
